Default wipers

so it rained for the first time since i got my 05 ram and i noticed today that when i try to use the wipers on the intermiten setting they won't work unless i push it in to use the washer fluid and then they will wipe wait a few seconds and wipe two or three times for the seconds they missed working but if i put it on the last two settings they work fine. what could be the problem?

If you turn on the intermittent, will it eventually work like 5 or 10 seconds later or never at all? there could be an initial delay in yours? I have never used the delay setting on my wipers. I'll either clean the windsheild or just never use them so i cannot comment on what is normal for these trucks.

If it just doesn't work no matter how long you wait, could be a bad switch which would mean the whole turn signal wiper switch(whatever you call it..brainfart...doh.) needs to be replaced??

yea, sounds like your level is bad...mine was bad in my 06 ram...id flip the level for the left turn signal and my right signal would blink, easy fix, mine was covered under warrenty..

By level do you mean the actual switch for using your signal lights? because i have an 06 ram and its being doing the exact same thing and my wipers dont work sometimes as well.

i have read some of the previous post about the same problem and have tried switching the relays so it is either the multi-stalk or the motors or the stop contacts. this seems to be a problem with the 3rd gen rams. when i use the intermiten/delay they either wont turn on or will wipe once wait a while wipe two or three times and then either stop working or continue to do the same thing. also when i turn them off from the delay setting they will wipe two or three more times before stopping.
