Ive got two cutouts right after my LTs also yes they are deafening loud.

I got that reading with LT's, high flows, 3" y then into the cutout.

I don't think you'll benefit at all from a cut-out if you have your exhaust stright piped already.
I think it was Truckin151??? who dynoed at a loss with using his cut-out. Was only a loss of a few hp though.
No, I actually gained about 10rwhp/tq with it open vs closed. I lost my lowend though, it was a dog off the line with it one (of course that was back before a few other mods were installed). Data logged with it open vs closed and it was a noticeable difference between the times.

Doesn't really matter now, you can see straight through my muffler and IMO it sounds better than it did with the cutout. I did a few trial runs with my current setup with the cutout on (before weed took it) and they were within .01 for the 1/4 mile times (quicker with it closed) so it was removed.
