woohoo glad we can all help

 

I'm so confused. My 02 ram Will say lamp out on the cluster. I dont know how it would ding and not say lamp out.
Way I understand it when the truck starts the computer sends a small voltage in all the lamp circuits and if a bulb is messed up or out the computer sees the resistance is wrong and throws the lamp out warning.

 

not sure what years have the chime but my 2007 did not show a lamp out light . might have changed with the years ?

 

My '07 dinged, no lamp out indicator.

guess nobody care-ed if the light was on ? just like a check engine light but with the beep it will drive you craze
