Default Differences between Spindle and Body Lift?

So, I've got a 2wd 1500 Quad Cab. I want to lift my truck, and because it's a 2wd, I want to raise the cab, not the entire thing. I know that the 3" body lift that is for sale by PA will make the wheel well 3" bigger, but would a 3" spindle lift do the same thing? I guess what I'm asking is if a spindle lift and body lift would look the same just from looking at the car.

I don't know truck lingo well as I'm new to trucks, but I want to make the vertical gap between tire and car farther than it is now. Will a spindle lift achieve that?

Thanks in advance.

Ill go easy on u and just tell u next time do a search...but as far as your question...spindles simply do the same as a leveling kit..which will raise the front of your truck which is what u are wanting i assume...the body lift, is cheaper than the spindles...but will raise your whole truck body, just as it is now, 3 inches higher..you will still have the rake in the front..so if u want the front higher the spindles are what u want, but there are other CHEAPER options out there to do that...

spindles for the win! after that, if you still want higher, do a body lift.

definitely do the spindle lift. You have not said what year your truck is but if you want to make the gap between the top of the front tire and the bottom of the fender well then only spindles will accomplish that. A body lift will raise the entire body. You can get spindles on www.airbagit.com for about $300
