Thumbs down

This motor thing has been nothing but a cluster F%^^&%$&!!!
The motor is WRONG for my year and make! I bought the 40-3025 motor (which all dealers and parts store have listed) and I bought the $70 wiring adapter (rip off if ya ask me). I plugged the wiring and motor up to truck and tested motor...of course it worked. So I then proceeded to remove the linkage from the old motor and attach it to the new......The spline on the new motor is TOO SMALL !!! WTF!!!
So I took the old motor apart again and cleaned all the contacts out AGAIN and pressed down on the clip that held the contacts in. I tested the old motor and it worked this time. Moral to this ordeal....THE MOTOR IS WRONG FOR MY TRUCK!!! So no I have to eat the $70 wiring adapter since they wont take it back. I enclosed pictures so you guys can see what I mean!

03 was that year when they were changing from 02 setups and designed and then changed again in 04 do is doesnt surprise me if you have something that doesnt exactly match up. Sounds like they used left over parts to finish clearing out thier inventory to me. Nothing new.

That's why MOpar has been selling the complete kits (motor, linkage, connector) for doing a full conversion:

I have an '04 and has the oval connector. I bought a re-man and now the wipers won't park. I hear to only get a Mopar motor, so that's what I'm on the hunt for this morning.

hi there, saw this post when I was looking for something else. Dodge used 2 different types of wiper motors in 2004-2010 (and possibly other years) Ram pickups. Using the picture of the 2 on the tailgate as a reference, the one on the left is the Anco style motor. The one on the right is made by Trico (Trico P/N is 91498-169). The Anco motor has a 4 wire connector, the Trico has a 5 wire plug. You can get Anco motors anywhere, but the Trico ones are very hard to find. Happily we have several hundred of the Trico style in stock, brand new assembly line overruns. If it would be helpful to take a look (including pictures that show all the part numbers) check out https://aaaaautomotive.com/products/...5605ac-wip1664. If you have a 5 pin plug and a Trico motor (2 mounting lugs, the Anco/4-wire one has one), we have what you're after.

If you buy the complete newer setup, Linkage as well, with 4 wire connection the adapter you purchased will work. It is not just the motor that is different, it is the whole linkage as well. I am parting out a dodge 1500 that has the 5 wire square plug that you need if you have not resolved your issue
