Can I use the factory Sirius antenna with my plug&play unit (starmate 5). I do not have a subscription for the truck.

Actually i'm pretty sure you can, I was going to do this at one time but just decided to swap the subscription over to my factory deck.

So to answer your question n77cjs yes, you can either change subscriptions from your portable to your factory deck *assuming its Sirius ready* or I think all you need is an adapter from your antenna thats on your truck to your Starmate 5.

 

you can only use the factory antenna with the factory stereo. the do not make an adapter to use the factory antenna with the "plug and play unit" or an aftermarket stereo that comes with sirius.
