Default 2002 Dodge issue / possible hvac

Hey guys I need your expert options. My dodge has an a/c issue. I can get very cold air conditioning on the defrost and floor options but when i turn it to the max ac option i only get the vent air - the much warmer outside air. I have read up about the blend door issue and i am not sure this is that. I checked today and the compressor runs when on the defrost /floor option but once i switch it over to the max air the compressor does not work. I am wondering if the hvac switch is broken maybe and i should replace it or is this the common blend door issue? I can control where the air flows fine, its just that i can only get cold ac out of defrost and floor options and warm air out of the vents.

Thank you very much for the help, its very much appreciated .

sounds like its the swtich and possbily a recirc door issue. sounds like your blend door is working fine same with your mode door becuase you can change temps and modes (floor, defrost, panel, etc)
