I have a 04 qaud cab hemi with 44,800 miles and the EGR valve is bad. Is this covered under the 100,000 mile emissions warrenty?
I am just asking before I go to the dealer.

NOT covered, I tried & tried to get them to cover it, but no dice!!

Seems a shame with a "04" truck that only has 44,803 miles on it.

They wanted something written, that said it was covered. I am still searching but so far no luck.

 

it really depends on the dealer. we have covered some and not covered some.
give your local dealer a call with your vin number and ask.
it cant hurt

 

good thing is they do not cost that much new if you haver to come out of pocket.

 

I'm surprised ANY dealer would replace an EGR under warranty. It's considered a routine maintenance part and the average life in a Hemi is about at 40,000 miles.

Advance has them for $39.99 and if you are totally inept it would take you 20 minutes to swap out...
