Exactly; but the op has a 4.7 which means he can explore different alternatives without ill results.

I have a 06 4.7L that just turned 60k and I'm still running on my oem plugs. I pulled one about a month ago and the tip of the plug had a light tanish color to it. It looked good to me so i put it back in. But I am still getting anywhere from 18 to 21 mpg on the hwy so i'm leaving them alone until i find some recommended plugs just for the 4.7L. If i find any info i will post it here.

I would change them, you can't rely on the overhead mpg reading, that it shows. imo.
