ok, i have a 2008 1/2 ton with a 4.7.

#1. my truck only has 62k miles. i was changing the rear end fluid this weekend and realized that my pinion seal is leaking.
has anybody had this issue?
what about replacing it, im the kinda guy that does everything myself, i hate paying other ppl to work on my stuff. does anybody know how hard it is to change out?

#2. my a/c controls in the dash bezzel. i think the lights on the inside that light up the controls are burning out. they seem really dim at night time, almost where i cant see them.
once again, does anyone know how to change the bulbs? i havent looked at it yet, but any advise will be grealty appreciated....

I dont know about the seal becuase I never have done one but for the dash lights, There are a bunch of guys that changed to colored bulbs so try searching that. Search something like "Blue dash lights"

 

You have to take the tires off, brakes, calipers, then pull the diff cover, remove the axle clips and pull out the axles, then the differential assembly and the pinion is there behind it. While you are there you might as well replace the axle seals as well.
