Default 4000-5000 rpm????

my 4.7 '08 Ram seems to really pull hard at 4000 rpm and then more at 5000 rpm, it's a pretty drastic change. Anyone else feel that? and if so, how can I make it run like that off idle...lol

^^ yep. All vehicle have their narrow range of powerband. You could get it like that off idle, but then you would lose it all on the upper end. It's called a towing cam. There's gives and takes to cam grinds. Can't have power through all the rpms like everyone would like without superchargers and such.
