I have a 2003 Dodge Ram with one of those plastic pulleys on the power steering pump. It cracked and it is now undriveable. Dodge dealer says they cant find it. An Auto Parts store says they can get it but it will take 4 days. After the four days, they now say that it will be 14 days. I have done an internet search and can't seem to find it either. Anyone else have this problem? If so, what did you do?

 

Get another Pump at the Recyclers, surely 03-05 are the same or wait the 14 Days for the pulley as IMO you are luckey to get just that. Interesting problem as this does not sound like it's a common Hemi issue. I'm gonna go have a look at mine now however since you didn't specify engine I'm bettin you got the last of a 5.9 or a 4.7L.

 

This is the first I've heard of this and I checked mine thinking it was metal. It is non-metalic. Black, looks like metal. I'm thinking it to be plastic... Who would have guessed. I would check my local auto stores and if not available look in a salvage yard. No doubt a dealer will kill you getting it from them.
