Electric Supercharger?
***Blast from the past***
Woke up this morning and checked my email on my DX and guess what? I got an email through Ebay from midwestturbos.
And this is what he said.......
-----------------------
Dear weedahoe,
Ok, the second guy actually also emailed me back.
do you remember
typing that on your dodge forum? haha you people make me laugh...10k
posts!!! absolutely, positively, nothing better to do than talk about your
pick up trucks. you posted things about me, so i get to laugh AT YOU for
wasting your time.
-midwestturbos
--------------------------
Well it took some time to figure out what the hell he was talking about being since I have 10k post on this board alone, I dont remember everything or keep up with it all.
But LMK get this straight, he is laughing at me because I have a high post count when we just stopped a member and saved him from wasting money on an electric turbo that he himself cannot prove works, has any factual info or dyno sheets.
From post #26
-------------------------
Dear weedahoe,
i agree with you, most all of them are junk. some are the used TKT ones
though. we dont have any dyno runs with papers to go with them to prove
what these can do.
-midwestturbos
-------------------------
So this guy has the ***** to think he is laughing at me or us for talking about him and his bull**** items for sale when he is trying to market it as a cheap viable alternative to a real turbo and has ZERO factual or proven information about it.
He is making claims of increased power but cant prove anything? Shut up....just stop the BS right there please.
Now that to me screams "sales gimmick" and boarder line "fraud" because overall he is trying to take advantage of someone who doesnt know any better.
This is no different than all the people out thier selling chips and claim astronomical fuel mileage increase and hp/tq gains.
Wow.....the ***** on some people are pretty big.
BTW, I did reply to him. I said what i thought and asked him to join us over here on the board and create an account. We'll see......

He's laughing that we "wasted" time talking about what a joke these are?
It think it's more funny that he took the time to find your old email to him, to reply to you, to tell you that you wasted your time talking about his BS..

..... the 2.3-litre Kompressor engine is neither smooth, quiet nor musical. However, its Eaton supercharger provides stream of torque that is not far behind the V6. Like many supercharged engines, at light load, the supercharger is disengaged from the engine via an electromagnetic clutch for the benefit of engine response and fuel consumption.......
I guess it only kicks out at low RPM's, so the intake probably can't handle high RPM operation without the Kompressor running.
I don't quite understand the comment on engine response, since it's a blower! The response should be immideate and linear through the powerband.

Prepare to be semi-impressed. The Mercedes Benz Kompressor is driven by a electromagnetic clutch similar to an A/C compressor clutch.

Probably leaned it out... Makes sense too. You can make more power running lean, until you burn a piston.
This thread has gone all over the place taking about different power adders. I was just responding to HemiLonestar's comment about a clutched blower like in the Mad Max movie.
