Default hemi engine weak links...

As a hemi puts on the miles and is off warranty, what engine componets have a history of going south? If you had to rebuild a 5.7 hemi, what can the after market offer in terms of a stronger crank, aftermarket heads, cam shaft, long blocks, short blocks, ect.

If I keep my rig, I would like to know off any potential issues down the road, I'm by no means wanting the sky to fall down and aside from the 16 sparkys, I enjoy driving the hemi.

I'd never consider the 6.1 cam for a QC or a 4x4 and certainly not if it was both. It's a high rev, higher end rpm cam with nice HP gains up high in the rpm band that sacrifices low end torque to achieve this. Last thing you wanna do in a heavy 4x4 is give up low end torque.

It's a cam much better suited to a Hemi car or maybe a lowered, street 2wd RC truck...
