i just made two word documents comparing 2004 to 2005 of every pinout of every connector on the PCM if you would like it.

Yeah I understand it now. See Im comparing 04 to 05 schematics and literally going through each circuit. IDK if thats the fastest way but I guess it is the most defined and sure-fire method.

The "T" in T41 in this care is a pre-suffix for Transmission so if im looking for a gauge wire, I would know off the rip this is not it.

But again, just trying to compare everything so i can see how deep the chits going to get when I try to swap PCMs and harnesses.

Syre, send it to me. Ive got all the pin outputs from 04 to 05 and know the 05 does use more (all 38 pins unlike the 04)

is there a way to send it over this forum? or would i need your email?

all i did was paste the pinouts on 2 seperate word documents and minimized them and split them in my desktop so the left of the screen was 2004 PCM and the side whole side of my screen was 2005 PCM just to compare.

Ok bud, I took a look at them.
You have an additional 5v power supply coming out of the '05 PCM, as well as Pin #13 & 14 which are additional grounds, now for the kicker, pin #31 is for line pressure sensor which you don't have on your tranny. I don't know if you can add one to it or what, but it's something that's built into the programming.
So, unless you can add or 'fool' the line pressure sensor circuit, then I think you may be SOL on the entire project, that or get an '05 tranny.

Well thats what you would think right? But the 04 545rfe is nor any different from the 05 545rfe and both have LPS on the trans. How do you think i have my Sonnax Line Pressure Booster connected?

But not you see the complications I run into and have to go through each and every circuit.

Diablo says its the 04 PCM they cant tune (although SC does it) and there are more pins used on the 05 PCM than there are the 04 so Im assuming the harness is needed (which would be a big PITA to swap out).

//Slightly off topic...

Sounds like we're in the same industry. My substation days are over, but I used to work out in the field in various substations, old and new. The oldest operating station I worked in was built in the 1910-1920 era, and was still in service until just a few years ago. It's amazing that man built things so well in the past that they'd last for nearly 100 years. I'm certain that they didn't expect that lifespan out of that equipment when they designed it!

I've since put away my test equipment, tools, and gloves and went into the management side of things. It seems a distant past now, but I still have some of my tools and test leads.

lol your welcome. would it help if i had it in excel spreadsheet?
what gives you trouble is looking at each module that the PCM wire harness goes to and seeing if they match. otherwise you would just be able to switch pins in the connectors to the right one
