tire on 17 inch factory rim

Default tire on 17 inch factory rim

WHAT size tires can I purchase to replace the 245/70-17ings which came on truck. Ram 1500 2wd? I WANT A WIDER LOOK?

Heya. Welcome to DF!

If you tell me what model year your Ram is, I can move this thread to the appropriate section for you, get you some answers.

1993 and earlier are 1st gen Rams.
1994-2001 are 2nd gen Rams.
2002-2008 are 3rd gen Rams.
2009 and newer are 4th gen Rams.
(These are for 1500s only, 2500s and 3500s are slightly different.)

285/60/17 will be ~1.6" wider and the same height as what you have now and is the biggest tire I would put on a stock 17" rim. Not sureabou fitment so let uskno what year youhave.
265/70/17 will be about .75" wider and a little taller. so your speedo will be slightly off.

Thanks, 285 70 17 ings R on my sons F1504x so I'll use his. he can get something larger. thanks fo info.
