Another shudder question...not 2500
2002 1500 4x4 4.7 Stock, less than 70k, in like new condition and within specs.
driving at highway speeds, go over bumps like uneven pavement and as soon as rear tires go over bump a nasty shudder/vibration literally gets the rear tires to scoot over. at lower speeds the scooting does not happen but the shudder/vibration is there. mostly at speeds above 50.
anyone who has sailed the seas aboard a large vessel and has experienced the nice wobble effect felt when the bow takes a good wollop from rough seas has an idea of what I'm describing.
any help, suggestions, insight on something I have not found in my search (wobble, shudder, vibration) is greatly appreciated.
thank you in advance.

Ok, I think there are two things you got going on. First, even my truck 04 1500 hemi, when I hit a decent bump at highway speeds, the rear end goes all over the place. Second, the vibration - you should check the u joints, to make sure there is no play. The vibration / shudder could be your u joints on your way out. Either way good luck!
