Default Some good, some bad, suggestions please.

Well i had a pretty good day at the u-pull-it yard yesterday and finally got my efan! Totally excited about that!
Then on my way home from work today i turned onto one of our fine Pennsylvania roadways and hit a massive crater and bounced all to hell when i thought wow my exhaust seems alot louder.
I came home to find this Name: exhaust.jpg

I got it wired up with redneck exhaust hangers (twisted metal coat hanger) for now but now my weekend plans are efan AND exhaust.
Question is since im a bit tight on cash at the moment and need to get my exhaust changed asap because it goes for inspection here shortly i found a summit catback dual exhaust. The 3" is cheaper than the 2.25. I'd like the 2.5 but they dont offer one, so would the 3" be a bad choice? I'm going for a nice sound and something that would possibly be ok with towing.

i bought the 2.25 one from summit great fit great price and you keep your spare tire where it is. the only thing is your gonna need to get some tips for them cause the 2 2.25 rear exits look kinda small btw its a 2003 qc 5.9 gas

LOL....the breaking point is at the face of the muffler itself.

Well either way im going to get the tips. And spare tire fitting isnt really a concern. I'm not packin a spare 35 under the bed lol.

Its an aftermarket si/do muffler. not sure what brand.

Like weed said its right on the face of the muffler.

So im leaning towards the 3" kit with tips. Anyone see why this would or would not be a good idea. Is the 2.25 better?
