I thought we addressed this already. A 7" AVIC is a double DIN HU. I have a Pioneer AVIC Z1 with Z3 upgrades in my DR. You will need to get a modified bezel or buy one off ebay for $180

Again, if you look through my pictures in my signature link you will see all you need to know

Thanks for the link. I'm sorry about the Double din question. I will not bid right now since I do not know which one to choose. I have not check informations on this particular unit so I do not want to make a rush purchase.

That is from the Service Manual. You can find them online at various places.

That HU will do everything and more than you need. It has every option and feature you can think of. I love mine hands down and will not get rid of it any time soon.

But keep in mind you need the HU, the bezel, the harnesses and it would be good to replace all the door speakers at least for the best sound possible.

What is your budget on this project?

I would say about $1000. Bit I do not want to replace the speakers. I have infinity sound system factory installed and its sounds great.

Weedahoe I have some questions for you. What did you use to cut out the square opening in the bezel?

I use a dremel with diamond circular blades as well as a few other bits for getting in the corner.

I had the Infinity also and although it is better than bone stock, it still sucks. Listen to me, not only will you need a costly harness to keep the Infinity system integrated but you can set aside $100 or LESS for GOOD door speakers and sound a lot better.

You sure you dont wanna rethink that budget number?

Again, depends on what HU you and featured you need. I dont buy anything cheap and if I think I have to settle for cheap because or money issues then I wait and get what I want so i dont have to buy cheap for now and then sell it off to get better later. Do it right the first time and save.
