Default Brakes Opinions

I need new brakes and I was looking at getting ceramic pads and drilled and slotted rotors. I know there are lots of cheap ones on ebay so I am wondering what your opinions were on them. Two brands I am looking at are:

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/2-Pre...ts_Accessories

and

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Perfo...ts_Accessories

The prices seem too good to be true so they probably are.

Whenever my stockers finally wear out I'm going with Power Slot rotors and Hawk pads, personally...

I know of quite a few people that have used the brake motive pads and rotors that you have the link to. That is a true price and from what I hear they work well and the guys love 'em. Good product at a reasonable price.

The only issue I have with that is what are you going to do when the pads wear out? Go out and buy some more? Of course you will but why not buy some local so you can at least get a lifetime warranty on them.

Thanks for the input. I live at the most easterly point in Canada (Newfoundland, in case nobody knows ha ha). Anyways, we get screwed on auto parts (especially delivery) all the time. I've gotten some pretty good deals on e-bay and the general consensus seems to be that these are ok so I will probably order them. I've called around locally and I can probably get these pads and rotors on e-bay for less than the price of regular semi-metalics and oe rotors here! In fact, the garage I go to quoted me $400 just to do the front!

Btw, a set of Monroe or Wagner semi-metallic (2 year warranty pads) for the front will run you anywhere from $85 to $110 around town and OE rotors are around the same (each!) - $175 at the stealership!

Cheers!
