door speaker
If it is the infinity system, that 6x9's only get the bass. The infinity system is set up weird but the speakers you here like voices come out of the dash which are 3.5 inch coaxials, not tweeters. So it might be that your only hearing the bass and thinking the speaker is bad when its the factory system itself. It sucks because it's either leave it ALL stock or replace everything.
did you break your new speakers in properly? big mistake a lot of guys do is crank their new system.
always give it a 10 hour break in period before actually cranking your tunes.
if that's not the problem, then I don't know.
what did you replace them with?????/

What im saying is, that kicker speaker is designed to receive all the highs, mids, and lows and is supposed to be run at 4ohms. The stock only receives the lows and to make more of a headache, the amp wants some weird ohm to sound good. Your best bet would be to upgrade the head unit and power the door speakers through that. Unless you want to upgrade to a amp but skies the limit with systems.

Can't you get Infinity 6x9 2 ohm 2-way for the doors w/ the Infinity system? I know you won't get highs, but I would imagine the lows from an Infinity kappa would be better than the factory stuff. It would probably be more expensive, but you could get the component kit for the 6x9 lows and sell the tweeters. You can get the 6x9 kappa 2 way's for $100 from amazon, that is what I plan on doing.
running amp at higher resistance doesn't hurt the speaker or the amp.. The higher resistance makes the amp put out less current and thus lower wattage. Either one of a few things happened,
Just a defective speaker from kicker.. rare but it happens.
OP doesn't know much about audio and just cranks it with the bass turned all the way up on the radio and just cooked the speaker
And third which is probably the issue is that the factory amp is on the way to dying or the channel on it finally died and thus you will need to bypass the factory amp which is a rather simple process
