Default Engine Loss

My husband was on interstate 95 here in Fl going 65mph and the truck just cut off. Sensor lights were flashing he had no choice but to coast to the side.
He sat with the truck off for about ten minutes and then he started it. It came on and worked fine for the rest of the drive. This is very scary for us since he drives 45 minutes to and from work. For the rest of the week around town its been fine.
Joined this forum so I might gets some information before we get the run around at repair shops.

Thanks

Without knowing what lights were flashing, it'll hard to help. Is the CEL on now? If it stored some codes, do the key dance (key on, off, on, off, on) and be ready to write down the resulting codes. Or take it to Advance, AutoZone, etc., and have them read the codes.

Default Lights

The light that was flashing was the electric throttle control and it stayed on when engine off. The CEL is still on everytime we start the truck. Not sure it we have an Auto Zone but im sure we can find one. Any guess on what kind of price you think we might be stuck with.

Thanks

I think it was Chefred on DT that had the same issues. He would be driving it and it would cut off on him. He found the issues to be in the circuit boards on the PDC. Once he replaced that he had no more issues
