Hey Guys
I will be picking up my 04 dodge ram 1500 charcoal gray Tuesday.
It is my third Ram so I am pretty familiar with the trucks,my last one which
was the white one I installed quite a few aftermarket parts but I am debating on a few of the parts.
The only two things I am debating on is the superchips programmer and the throttle body,now don't get me wrong the throttle response was better with the T/B but I didn't feel a real noticable difference and the programmer superchips programmer I tried every setting and the only setting that was semi decent was the towing setting.
So my question is should I spend the money on the programmer and the T/B which I didn't feel or see any major gains and will amount to probably around 500.00 or wait until I start going into the motor to buy the parts.
Here is what I bought or ordered so far:18x9 wheels,325/65/18 hankook muds,CST 7 in. lift,motive 4:56 gears,Flexalite efan,180 thermostat, air intake,has borla exhaust already,ordered magnaflow y pipe.
I am waiting until I pick the truck up Tuesday to see if it has a LSD or not.

As for the tuner, instead of SC I would get a DSP and have the option to adjust throttle body sensitivity. That may work out better for you.

 

Thanks.... I will probably do more in the future but for now I think I am goin to wait until I go into the motor to buy the programmer and the T/B,I will go with the ho cams and maybe some decent heads but that won't be anytime soon unless I get a slamming deal on the parts.
Oh... I forgot I will install a decent system in the truck also(2 10's,6x9's and 5.25's and a decent amp).
