Being up high to see over traffic is the only benefit I see over all the other negatives, but hey, to each their own.

Similar question would be why would be to "gasturbine" why on earth would you get a regular cab?
Its my second vehicle, I dont need the extra space, shorter wheelbase for off-road, and it fits in the garage.

Plus, IMHO, the killer looks of a reg cab on a short bed.

A bit off topic but if I had a SC I would drop it but only because I would build the engine, re-gear it, lighten the hell out of it and race the **** out it.

So ok say I get the spindles, coils, shocks, etc. Would I need new upper control arms? or longer brake lines?

Also on the spindles it says to keep the offset of the rim same as stock. Should I be worried about this?

i have 325/60/20's on the factory 20's and all i did was put on a Truxx leveling kit. it came with brackets to reposition the shock so that it did not over extend it. i get a small amount of rub on the torsion bar at full turn. i have been stuck and had the wheels kicked way up in the fenders and have had no issues with clearance. that tire equals out to a hair over 35 i believe

If you do a 3" lift spindle and a 3" coil and new shocks you will not need new UCA but if your ball joints have high miles on them then it may be a good idea to replacement for that reason. There are after market adjustable UCA's but they are costly.

But with 6" combined lift like that one the front you will be fine. I had that setup for a while.

Offset can be more but not less. If it is less then the tires would scrub against the spindles.

Yes most kits come with blocks but you can also use lift shackles. You can find them on ebay or use 2nd Gen stock shackles.
