Any One Running Air Horns In Their Truck?
Kinda just lookin for maybe the trucker style horns..really dont need all that noise and just have that much of a chance of getting caught by the cops. Cops around my area are real d**ks and i know they would bust me..so maybe if i stay with the big rig type horns, i might be less likely to get caught if you know what i mean
holy crap that thing is massive! to my surprise the cops havent hassled me about it at all and I have layed on it plenty of times in front of them...matter of fact they havent said anything about my horns, hids, tint, windshield tint strip, or the tail light tint. ha knock on wood
Well we will see what comes up..i am still lookin at both of those kits but not sure which one to get. Prolly if i get them i will go with the hornblaster kit b/c i am sure that one i would have more fun with. but def keep the opinions comin
Man....all those folder and pictures in my signature link and you couldnt find them?? LOL
Go look in the "air horns" folder.......

This is my Shocker 240 kit from Hornblasters.com. I had lots of problem with my order, in fact, it was such a mess, I will never do business with them again, but none the less, after I finally got everything installed, and working the way I wanted, and they are awesome!
Here is the foot switch. I got it from an RV toilet control. I dont have it mounted yet, so its just sitting on the mat.

Here is the 1.5 gallon tank and compressor. I mounted it behind the seat, and its not really that loud, and the tank fills from empty in about 30 seconds, which provides about a 7 second blast. I have the control switch temporarily mounted on top of the tank...Ill be moving it to the dash somewhere.

Heres the front of the truck. You can only spot them if you look real close.

Here they are mounted. I just bought a small piece of angle iron, cut it to length, and bolted it in. I then drilled and mounted the horns to it. I had to angle them around a bit for clearance issues, but had plenty of room and options. I mounted the solenoid valve to the angle iron too...you want this to be as close as possible to the horns.

Close up.

Another angle.
