Default 2004 Ram 1500 - Slow shift/torque converter?

Hi guys,
I just got back from a 6000 km trip and my trucks started to act up a bit. At first I thought I had warped my rotors in the mountains but it seems that the torque converter or shifting is delayed when coming to a stop. I get a shudder just before stopping and then it seems like something shifts and the truck gets smooth again as it creeps to a stop. I also noticed some other shifts have gotten a little lazy but they are crisp when they happen. The oil looks/smells good and was changed about 25,000 km ago along with the filters. The truck has 200,000 km on it.
Should I service the transmission myself or is there something the dealer needs to do when it is serviced? I have not gotten any "check engine" lights but I haven't checked codes as of yet. I would appreciate advice on what to do.

Truck details are as follows:
2004 Ram 1500
4.7L Eng (EVA)/5Spd A/T 5-45Rfe(DGQ)
5-Spd Automatic 545RFE Transmission
Lock-Up Torque Converter
3.92 Axle Ratio
Corporate 9.25 LD Rear Axle
Anti-Spin Differential Rear Axle
4.7L V8 MPI Engine

Cheers, Steve

Good news,
The truck doesn't have any codes so it isn't so bad that the truck knows that it's sick.

I would add a Sonnax transmission line pump booster on it and see if that speeds up the up and down shifting. They arent but about $40
