2002 Ram - 7/100 or 7/70 warranty
Hi - I'm new to the forum and I'm hoping someone can help me out. I bought a Dodge Ram 1500 in June 2002 and it was DEFINITELY during a standard warranty period offering 3/36 bumper-to-bumper and 7/100 on the drivetrain. Well, my 37,000 mile-old drivetrain needs work and every service manager I talk to scratches his head and and says all warranties end at 36K. Just from reading a few posts in here I see that other people have the same 7/100 or 7/70 deal on their 2002 truck. Can someone please help me out in how I can verify this to these service managers, or can someone email/fax me a copy of any documentation of this warranty offer in 2002? Thanks so much for whatever you can do!

RE: 2002 Ram - 7/100 or 7/70 warranty
I pretty sure DC didn't offer the 7/70 as a standard warranty for vehicles with an original in-service date before 1 July 02. However, some may have purchased the warranty at an extra cost or their dealer may have thrown it in as a way to move vehicles. My 01 didn't have the 7/70. Even if the in-service date was after 1 Jul 02, the warranty may not automatically transfer to the next owner. My 04 has the 7/70 but according to my warranty book, is only transferrable if the next owner pays $150 transfer fee within 30 days of ownership.
