Default Rattle when driving uphill...

Hello,

I have a 2002 Dodge Ram. Recently it has started to make a strange rattling noise when driving uphill or when I give it a lot of gas. If I'm driving in town, I never hear it. If I'm driving on the highway, it can be heard, but is far less prominant than when driving uphill. It sounds almost as if you dropped a screw into a tin can and shook it. Any ideas? Could this be the torque converter?

Any ideas are welcome.

Thank you

Rock in your rims? where does the noise appear to be coming from?

Yeah i agree with Smoker. Valve clatter usually means bad gas or octane is too low. Try running some Premium gas to see if it quiets down.
