Default Catalytic Converter on 2006 Hemi 1500

Hi all,

Awesome forum!
I have a question and hope someone can help me out.

I just got the P0138 code.
After reading similar post on here, i wanna try checking the harness of the O2 sensor first before replacement.

But I can for the life of me find the catalytic converter.
Can someone tell me how to find the cat converter? i know this o2 sensor is on pass side post cat converter.

Thanks in advance for all your help!

Seriously? Not trying to be mean but if you do not know what the cat looks like, how are you going to trouble shoot it? Are you sure you are not over your head?

The cats are round metal devices in the exhaust towards the engine and have a sensor both before and after each cat.

You can use Google Images to see what they look like if you need visuals

LOL Thx Weedahoe, I've downloaded the svc manual from a link in 1 of your post.
I found the cat converter finally!!!
now I have a second question, how long can I drive the truck with this faulty sensor? is it crucial to replace it immediately or can i wait on for a lil while without blowing up my cat converter?

Pardon my ignorance, I know im no mechanic but if you could shed some light on this I'd very much 'ppreciated!!

everyone has a starting point man. Dont worry about it. I dont know everything like I wish i did.

You can drive with it like it is but dont be so sure it is the sensor without fully knowing.
