Default ABS Warning Light

I've had my ABS light up with a "ding" three times over the last month or so. Stays on until the truck is turned off then stays off after cranking it again. I dont seem to have any braking problems. I am also just driving, not braking when the light came on. Any ideas?

I did a search, wasn't too sucessful in finding anything.

Thanks all

Check the front sensor connector to make sure it is clean and tight.

Also, look to see if your ABS/speed sensor on the top of the rear end has any corrosion or the wires look bad.

Cool, thanks guys. The connector under the hood next to bettery I assume? Yep, that's squeaky clean, looks brand new.

Ironically, my front left began a "rubbing, whirring" sound when brakes applied or not. Took the wheel off and looks like the pads are in need of replacement. So, about to go start all that. I'll take a look at the speed sensor. Appreciate it!

There is also a front wheel sensor that occassional will foul. Look it over carefully while doing the brakes. There seems to be a relationship between the to. Good luck...
