Default Oil restriction for turbo feed line

got a 81mm borgwarner large t6 flange JOURNAL BEARING turbo, and was wondering if i need just a straight hose to feed off a oil sandwhich block or if i need to get a restrictor to put inline with the oil feed line from the motor to the turbo ? any input ?

Journal bearings do not require a restricter, nor do ball-bearing units unless you have a rare vehicle making over 100 psi oil pressure. Volkswagen is the only one I know. Also, for the sake of eliminating potential leaks I would feed the turbo from the factory oil pressure sensor outlet (1/8" NPT) and not use the adapter. That's a good size turbo and should be a blast once everything is up and running.

Correct. Different engine but I did the same thing with my 5.2. You can see it's a copper tube though since I'm using an aftermarket gauge, but the factory sending unit could be threaded in there.

Ok kool, yeah its pretty big, the sts kit has like a 67 or 70 mm turbo with almost no lag, so I figure ill give up some lag to male it more efficient up top...and I don't need instant power
