Default 04 4x4 lifts? whats the deal????

what is it about the suspension on the 4x4 model in 04 that makes them so hard to find lifts for? im also a jeep guy i have a '79 cj-5 and im new into the dodge world. things are alot different. honestly i dont even know if it is leveled. it looks level i can tell when a 2wd isnt leveled. and what is with the torsion bar key things? is this ok for your suspension? i may get flogged for saying this but i miss the simplicity of leaf springs front and back. anyways i want maximum lift for minimum cash....except no body lift. i dont like when you can see the frame. if anyone can help it would be greatly appreciated.

I don't know what you mean by its hard to find a suspension lift for your truck, here is 5 different brands of lift kits that will fit your truck:

Should be easy to find one to your liking. When I was researching getting and installing my first suspension lift (after putting three body lifts on previous trucks) I was able to not only read reviews, but in most cases find guys around me with a host of suspension kits on torsion front end 4x4s (mostly Cheby's but a few Dodges scattered about). I was lucky enough to have a good half dozen guys right in my hunting club with lifted torsion front trucks, so I got to drive/ride in a few before deciding on the one I wanted.

Pro Comp, Fabtec, Skyjacker, Superlift and Rancho all offer lifts in varying sizes from 4 to 6" (beware as many so-called 6" lifts are NOT a true 6" or require you to crank your torsion keys all the way up to achieve the advertised height).

You'll see the frame regardless, just there won't be that gap between the frame and the body like a body creates
cranking your torsion bars will add pre-load tension which stiffens up your ride.
Suspension lift is gonna run atleast a Grand. I'd look in the Faq section and see what lifts guys are running and what they like/don't like about them.

Good advice 'dog, but I gotta disagree with ya' on one thing. Very little to NO frame shows with my 4" Rancho lift...
