Is there a perfect Aluminum Wheel under my Chromeclad 20" Wheels?

Stock 2006 Dodge 1500 Chromeclad wheels.

For those unaware, chromeclad is an option that has a chromed plastic cap over an aluminum wheel that covers the wheel all the way to the tire.

Almost looks like I could pop it off, but not sure if its glued on or what?

Thanks in advance

And part 2, are there any special precautions when taking the tire off this wheel?

That plastic surface seems very vulnerable. Thanks

I wonder if you have to remove them from the back to avoid damaging the chromed plastic face.

For a not inexpensive option, the chrome clad wheels really make a non-durable choice. Can't polish them, can't grind off road rash.... can't paint them, etc.
