Default 05 ram

The engine shuts off while driving or stopped on my 05 1500 RAM. no engine check or warning. HELP PLEASE!!!!!

My '05 Ram did that when my O2 sensors needed to be replaced. Sometimes the engine light was on, other times it wasn't. Just a thought.

It's one of the mystories of the dodge universe,My '05 has done that for years with no idea why

Chefred had this same issue on Dodge Talk. You can find him over there if you want but he fould the issue to be inside the PDC (Power Distri Center) which is the fuse box. There was a bad trace or connection inside it and while driving it would vibrate or loose connection and the truck would shut off while driving it.

I did read up on a similar problem where the 05-prior model years would stall or shut off at slower speeds like 15mph and slower. There's a TSB on that and I believe I read that there is an issue within the programming that cannot be resolved. Again, I read this over a year ago so I don't remember the specifics, but I do remember that there's no actual fix for it from Chyrslers end.
