Default Front end vibration and thumping on floor...

i have a 04 ram 1500 4x4 and i am getting a vibration and thumping feeling on floor it goes away when i press on the brakes any help on this one? i had the tires rotated and front end aligned.

Welcome to DF.

Could be several things, but I'd start with these: when they rotated the tires, I'm assuming they made sure the wheels were balanced? Did you check the torque on the lug nuts, make sure they tightened all the wheels down? Where did you get them rotated and the alignment done at?

I will move this to the 3rd gen section, get you some more help.

OP...
the vibration sounds like a balance issue, but the thumping on the floor sounds a bit odd. Have you climbed under the truck to see if anything looks out of place?

I had a similar thumping sound, it turned out to the heat shield. One of the plastic screws ripped out and the heat shield was flapping against my floor boards. It took me quite a while to track that one down.
