Default 06 2500 brake rotors ?

Are the brake disks pressed on to the axle shafts, ie do you have to remove front and rear axle shafts to get at the rotors?

and, is its possible to turn ( shave ) the rotors while thier still on the truck?

Swapping out the pads is in the cards, how ever I would like 4slotted rotors and ebc pads as a brake up grade.

No they aren't pressed on at all, but, before you attempt to remove them, check the backside for rust buildup, if there is much more than just surface rust, you may play H*ll getting them off. I had my whole front end apart last weekend replacing the axle u-joints, had to use and air hammer to break all the rust off mine to get them off

No they arent pressed on. But might be rusted on. Use some PB and get yourself a BFH and have a ball. And no you cant get them turned on your truck, and check ebay seller brakemotive for a set of 4 drilled/slotted rotors with ceramic pads for like $320. Not a bad deal check this http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Ram-1...Q5fAccessories

I used an Acetylene torch just to warm up the rotors. I just aimed the flame right around the studs and around the hole in which the hub fits in. 2 minutes per side and they both popped right off.
