Today it finally got down into the 40-50s and I noticed that my transmission was shifting hard into drive and reverse sitting still. Do you guys think this is because of the cold weather? or maybe I have a tranny mount broken?

See what happens in the next few days when it warms back up. In the mean time, get under there and make sure it isnt broken.
