I am looking for a truck. Just looking right now and don't plan to pick up something up for another year or more...but here is my question. Besides the obvious differences in towing/hauling capacity, what are the differences between the 2500's and 3500's?

Yup towing capacity is about it. Also the 1 ton comes with a 11.5 American axle. I believe some duallys came with the Dana 80 HD...

diesel powered 3/4 tons also come equipped with the 11.5 AAM rear end. only the gas powered 3/4 tons come with the 10.5. the only difference between the 3/4 and 1 ton trucks is the load capacity, and ride smoothness. because with more load capacity comes a stiffer ride.
