I personally dont like them. I think they arent the best idea. When you put them on 1. where does all that dust go 2. where does the heat go, they dont seem like they would allow adiquate ventilation. I just dont like them. I've never used them but it just dont think they are a good idea for a daily driver. Thats just my 2 pennies.

I havent seen those but a lot of guys with custom rims do use dust shields. This is for cosmetic and dust reduction reasons. However, I switched to ceramic pads a long time ago and they do not put out as much dust either. They still do some but just not as much.

I've heard of the heat issue, but never tried it myself.

I have heard that using a good chrome polish will keep some of it from wanting to stick as easily. I think there is some new Teflon spray, too.

I have used chrome polish. I have also waxed my rims. Overall, a daily hose down or wipe down works best. Windex also does good.

noted. I have used ceramic brake pads in the past, however I do not like them as much. I have found, with my driving style, that the factory pads last the longest without squeaking. So thats what I normally go with.

Guess Ima try some of them polishes/cleaners/waxing. Thanks guys!
