Default New Member- warranty question

Hello everyone-
I will become a new Dodge truck owner this week. My brother had his hours cut at work and needs to lose the truck payment. He made me an offer I couldn't refuse.

Owned pick ups for the last 26 years (last 17 years were Fords and the latest is a 2001 F150 Crew Cab) but this is my first Dodge. 2008 Ram 1500 quad cab 4WD Big Horn package and only 26,000 miles. It's a great looking truck and can only hope it will give me as much good luck as the Fords.

My question is about the warranty. I've got many different answers from the dealers. SO.. Will the factory 3/36 warranty transfer over to me?(I'll be the 3rd owner)I've been told everything from the warranty stays with the truck regardless of owners to no warranty transfer at all to a warranty transfer with an $150 fee. What's correct?

Anything I should look for and have checked when I get it(common issues with this truck)??

Thanks for your time everyone.

Thanks for the reply. Found the Dodge/Chrysler site and sent them off 2 emails. The warranty (3/36) transfers over with no fee and I got them to send me the build sheet. Sent those emails last night and got a reply early this morning. That was impressive. I wish I could get the build sheet that easy for my 69 vette. Thanks again
