the water pump in the wifes 4.7 was loose it jangled around in iis housing, made the fan cluth go out. but after i replaced them, truck is fine. my tranny has gone out twice in my 4.7 (wish i had the 6 speed like the wife got) good luck

i got a k&n full intake, it has been great to me. no way for the filter really to jame up the flow, i guess it could fall off but i check it by open hood and look, easy. my ol ladys fell off, and she ran it over, so i put a wannabe K&N filter on the tube and it has been fine also.

So now two months later I have water coming up the breather tube into the air intake.keeps freezing in the idle air cotrol valve and prevents the truck from idling.do you suppose that new head gasket is leaking?
Makes sense seeing as it was a dealer repair.4000 dollars so the truck still won't run.

There is no way a leaking head gasket can leak water and come up through the engine, out the intake, backwards through the TB and into the air intake system. That just wont happen.

Just put a small filter on that line coming from the head. I added a catch can on mine so anything coming in would get trapped and not go into the intake. My truck runs great without it connected to the intake.

If you want that moisture to go away... Drive it harder get the engine hotter and it will evaporate... Normally the moisture in the oil filler tube is found on engines that are typically driven short distances for short Periods of time. This allows the condinsation to build up... If the engine gets warm enough, you can burn all the condinsation out... My engine has never had this buildup but I know plenty of people who have.... Heat will help prevent it.
