Default new owner seeks upgrade

Cary here …. I’m new to the forum and to Dodge in general. I live in Texas where every household needs a dependable truck. Especially woodworkers like me. I often find myself hauling lumber trees and machinery. I recently purchased a 2006 dodge ram 1500 quad. Domestic vehicles are the best. I told myself I would never buy a vehicle without power locks, but the price was just too good to pass up.

Has anyone installed power actuators in a 06 ram that didn’t have them previously?
Any advice, product suggestions, and insight would be helpful. I do not want to go to the dealer for this, I think, for obvious reasons. I called cartoys and they said it would cost me 199 for an alarm package and then 120 per actuator. About 700 out the door. This would not include interior buttons to activate the locks. The only way then, would be by remote or manually doing so at each individual door.
Thanks in advance.

On our trucks the wiring exists for every accessory, installed or not.
You may be able to rob a wrecked truck of it's power lock switches, motors, etc and install them. Dealer will have to flash the pcm but you'll still be ahead $ wise

Thanks for the response. I tried to search for info in the topic, but didn't find any.
Good to hear the wiring it already there!
I failed to mention my desire for keyless entry.
would the receiver be installed already as well?

Think autozone can flash the pcm?

Dodge is the only one I believe that can flash the pcm to turn on that option, you might do well to find a wrecked one with the operators and switch npanel installed---most of the vehicled these days have power locks so it shouldn't be too hard to find, that way you can get all the hardware (bracketing and screws too)

Has to be Dodge, the computer to flash the pcm on these trucks is crazy expensive.
I'd imagine the reciever should be there, look through the service manuals and you should be able to find where the reciever is. If you don't have it, pull it with the other pieces.
