Default hesitation and or sputter

I would like to know if some one could help me out. I have a 08 Dodge Ram 1500 with the hemi 5.7. I just put a K&N cold air intake in and the truck is acting funny. When I am driving at a constant speed the truck runs fine if I just give it a little or a lot of gas it seems like it has a hesitation or a sputter. After the hesitation or sputter it takes off it dose it with the cruse control on or off, but it will not do it when I put my tow haul switch on. Can some one guide me in the right direction to my problem?

The problem here is your MDS activation. First I did when i purchased my Superchips tuner was turn the mds off. Truck is much more responsive now.

When you activate Tow/haul mode or O/D off you disable the MDS which is why the problem goes away.

mds=4cylinder deactivation.

The problem is fixed believe it or not it had to do with the oil that was put in my truck. The oil change company put 5W30 into the truck and I was told that the oil must be 5W20 or you could have a problems with the MDS. AT first I did not Believe it but after some research it all works off oil presure. So I took a chance and changed the oil and DAM IT WORKED!

Glad to see you got it resolved. What oil type does your oil cap say to use?
