Default Headlights

I have an 02 Ram and the headlight lenses are looking pretty shabby,they feel like they are plastic,can these be polished in any way or am I better off buying new?Thanks

IMO you are better off buying new for 100 or less off ebay. It is true you can but those polish kits or wet sand but I would just buy new and be done with it.

I bought a 3M brand kit at the local auto parts store. It fits on the end of a cordless drill. Has 3 different grades of sanding disks and some polishing compound. Took about 30 minutes to do both headlights on my wifes Durango. Was approx $30.00 and there are enough disks to use it about 3 more times. There were also some chemical lens cleaners that didn't require sanding. I have not tried those.

you can also use whitening tooth paste and alot of elbow gresse or a power ball

I tried the polishing kit today. Took probably 50% of the gunk out, but still looks bad. Going to buy new after market headlights.
