Gibson exhaust GIMMIE YOUR THOUGHTS/COMMENTS
i have a 2005 dodge ram 2500 4x4 hemi looking to get an exhaust(muffler back). i was looking at the gibson supertruck exhaust for the truck (the one with the 2 rectangle outlets in front of the rear passenger tire) and the single side dual gibson (2 tips in behind passenger rear tire). my question is how do the gibson exhausts sound????? also which one do you think would look better on the truck? im leaning towards the supertruck model. heres a link if u wanna check um out before answering...........

I don't have any + or - to say about Gibson exhaust, I don't have any first hand experience with them. I've heard of them and visited their web site and it looks good. But before you plunk down your money check out www.aero-turbine.com they make a very nice muffler that sounds awesome when installed in the stock exhaust system, and gives great performance through out the entire rpm range. Plus the price is very good and it's stainless steel so it won't rust. I got mine from e-bay, just type in a search. They have free shipping.........[sm=icon_cheers.gif]
I'd suggest a behind the tire exit (I know that wasn't what you asked), because unless you constantly clean the wheel it will corrode/deteriorate from the constant exhaust exposure.
I listened to the Aero-turbines on a hemi at their website and it was the only truck I thought it sounded good on (compared to ford and shivvies). I asked for additional recording info and was told that the mic had been placed 10 feet behind the truck during the idle and static acceleration sound-bites.
All the best.

I have the Magnaflow single side exit exhaust on my '05 HD Hemi. Sounds great and fits well. It is all stainless steel. I got mine for $380 shipped off of eBay. I also noticed a little more off-idle punch - that is always welcome...
