Best spot for e-fan therm. switch?

Default Best spot for e-fan therm. switch?

whats the best spot for my e-fan's thermal switch? i have tried sticking it through/around/next to my radiator, but no bueno. it is a preset 180 switch.

Switch or sensor? The sensor needs to be very near the top radiator hose. A switch can be anywhere.

Here's mine: the thin silver wire runs down to the sensor poked through the radiator near the top hose.

i tried taping it down to th radiator hose but nothing either. hmmmmmm. it seems as if it needs to be in contact with the coolant???

You mean the probe sensor? you push it through the radiator fins, gently

It will slide through the fins. I have mine about 2" to the side of my upper rad hose outlet/inlet and 2" below it. It helps it you get a small screwdriver or awl and open the fins and then grease the probe to slide in place. You know that works right??
