Default Over Heating Problem

About every 3 weeks or so I have to add water to the radiator because it starts to over heat. What could be causing this?

Seriously?

What about past issues? Year truck? Size motor? Age? Mileage? Maintenance schedule? Have you checked for any leaks?

IKR. Looking in his post history, it is a 2003 4.7 liter. My guess is head gasket. Any water/steam from exhaust? Water in oil? For future reference, we need more to work with then just a problem. More help can be sent your way if we know motor, year of truck etc.
