Default dash lights go dark in spots randomly

So my 02 is doing something weird. I wouldnt be confused except that its on and off. First the 11 o'clock position on the tachometer went dark and stayed that way. So I figured a blown bulb. Next the oil light went out a few months later. It randomly we be dim like a dead bulb then go dark again. After a month it now is fine and hasnt got dark again. So now a few months later the 11 o'clock of the speedo went dark and stayed dark. Whats going on?

If they're like the bulbs in the HVAC controls, they're bulbs and soldered on the board, with a blue bulb condom on for color.

The bulbs in the cluster cannot be changed. You would need a whole new cluster. Smart idea right?

i would check the conectors in the back of your cluster to make sure they are not loose and have a good connection. I can't think of a specific reason why they would do what they are doing though? Almost sounds like there's not enough current being fed to their source which seems like a loose connector or maybe it the connectors have corrosion?

Are you serious? My god.

The loose connection does make sense. I just had the thing off this summer to replace me heater core and the cluster laid in the garage for a few weeks before reinstalling....

So are they bulbs or leds? Is it common to burn out? I really dont want a new cluster. If anything I want a 2500 hemi cluster with number instead of stupid high low crap, but i know a dealer wont do that.

Another thought. My dad works on electronics and fixing boards. Could a new bulb be soldered into place?
