It is much easier to upgrade with an extra set of heads! have a good machine shop check the guide clearance, and replace as needed, or put a full set of bronze guides like i did, then put your new springs on while the heads are off the engine. Replacing springs with the heads on is a pain in the butt!

Before I go pulling my engine apart to change pushrods for a tick I would be check each and every exhaust manifold bolt on the exhaust manifolds. They sometimes break or back out and cause an exhaust leak which sounds like a tick.

However, if you are looking for push rods then get the 6.1 push rods from HERE priced at $11. If yuo are also going that far I would also change the valve springs located HERE priced at $64.

You can use this excellent guide here to change everything out

I used new pushrods for a 5.7 on my truck with 6.1 exhaust springs and I have no tick as of ~200 km's. I hear 6.1 pushrods are stronger though, I'd use them in your 5.7, that's what I was going to do (screwup at the dealer)

I can fully endorse Art at @ Hensonson motorsports, in Weeds link.
I've just been to Florida from the UK on vacation and hit him up for some 6.1 springs, pushrods and a gasket set and some NGK Iridium spark plugs.
I also spoke with him about a 260 cam upgrade. Very knowledgable guy and my parts were sent to me super fast.
Good company, very friendly and they do what they say they will as well, which is a big plus these days!
Al.
BTW Weed.....thanks very much for the link and your help!

Al, you are very welcome. I have been there and I ordered all my gear from Art @ hensons also.

Dessert Ram - read my post right above yours. Order those (16) 6.1 push rods and use them.
