Default OEM Nerf Bars Install, Help...

Has anyone come across or have any idea for that matter on where I could purchase extra mounting hardware (oval nuts that fit into the holes in the body to mount the brackets), that come with the OEM nerf bars? I misplaced a few and can't find them anywhere online. Dealer says you cannot buy them separately.....ridiculous in my opinion. Thanks.

Is it possible to use a regular nut that fits the bolt?? Or just use a different nut/bolt.... Put some lock tight on it too if you dont trust it...

I had the same issue and ended up using expanding Toggle Bolts. You just need to attach it to the step first and then push it into the hole in the truck. Holds just as tight.

I just going to try cutting a few washers and putting a nut at the end to hold it on....they are the same diameter, but not the same thickness; hopefully it works. A rubber washer between them might suffice to add some friction when I tighten the bolt. Let you know.
